This 8"x10" (20.25×25.5cm) broadside is printed letterpress in 3 colors on thick chewy white cotton paper (Lettra). This is a limited edition of 100, with each broadside numbered on the back.
Printed on my hand fed 1890’s platen press (see the last photo). With letterpress printing, the raised surface of the text and images are inked and then pressed against a smooth surface, usually paper, to obtain an image in reverse. The indentation created by this age-old method creates a lasting impression on the surface of the paper — and on the recipient.
Fits is a standard frame. Sent in a flat no-bend cardboard envelope with a protective plastic sleeve.
