Lavender Heart Van Dyke Brown No. 325
Handmade On Peconic Bay
One of a kind Van Dyke brown contact print of lavender stems formed into a heart with parsley, on hand torn bright white Rives BFK 300 gsm paper by Matt Shapoff. 11" × 8" (28.9 × 20.3cm).
Combining a 19th century silver based photographic printing process with modern design, Matt creates his solar generated Van Dyke brown prints on acid-free fine art paper, at his indoor/outdoor studio on Peconic Bay. This print is a unique exposure from dried botanical specimens. Van Dyke brown prints are created by exposing photosensitized paper in the sun.
Signed by the artist and blind embossed with logo on an 1895 Pearl letterpress. Ready for mounting in the frame of your choice. Shipped in a protective cello envelope with a product information card about Van Dyke brown prints.
