Herb Lubalin VOTE Poster *1968 reprint
Urban Inks
About
Inspired by the elections of 2008, I wanted to create a poster that would motivate people to vote. During my sketch process I could not get past the effectiveness of Herb Lubalin’s VOTE poster, created in the 1968, which says:
VOTE AND THE CHOICE IS YOURS
DON’T VOTE AND THE CHOICE IS THEIRS
REGISTER OR YOU HAVE NO CHOICE
I reprinted the poster and gave them to over 100 stores in Brooklyn and Manhattan to encourage everyone to register to vote!
I also printed a few (15) on cover stock and they are only available here on Supermarket!

i worked at the Cooper Union Center for Design and typography from 92-97! it was right down the hall. we once posted a giant poster of a monkey eating a banana directly across from the office of the HLCDT window. funny times.
