Look what I caught! A cicada!!!!!
This definitely doesn’t fit into the sweets category of my jewelry, but I was drawn to this detailed brass cicada charm and immediately wanted to make it into a beautiful, striking ring.
I soldered a sterling silver ring band onto the bottom of the bug so that it would sit perfectly on my finger, where the knuckle bends and the band sits right where a ring band should-as shown in the pics. Then I plated it in 14k yellow gold.
Surprisingly comfortable, unusually light, delicate piece.
This will grab attention wherever you go-it’s bound to stir up conversations!
*The cicada measures 2 inches long and 1 inch wide. I’ve plated the brass and silver in 14k gold.
**You have the option of having the cicada plated in 14k yellow, rose, or white gold. Just email me your gold plating preference, otherwise you’ll get 14k yellow gold plated.
