I remember as a kid collecting the acorns fallen from oak trees, they were like treasures!
So in honor of the beautiful oak nuts i made this lovely necklace! I cast an acorn cap in sterling silver and as a nut, i turned a piece of american walnut on a lathe to the shape of an actual acorn. I oxidised the cap to showcase it’s natural texture. Again, this is a mix of mr 2 favorite medias and an homage to nature wich never stops to amaze me!!
The acorn ia about 1" high by 7/8" wide and hangs on a 30" sterling silver chain, it has a nice weight and falls beautifully. This piece is a real eye catcher!! :)
