In 2005 Andrea Claire launched andreaclaire lighting with the a lamp she made using photos from a weekend trip up-state. The original idea was to create a modernist inspired, surprising, cool-looking pendant lamp that brings a little taste of nature inside.

The line has grown since then- now in its forth incarnation, we have added panoramas that are slimmer, have a slightly wider diameter, have varied exterior materials, and use photos from trips as far afield as Costa Rica, Italy, and Switzerland. This for the holiday season we now added 2 pieces inspired by 70’s erotica and slashed prices for our end of year sale.

Andrea Claire grew up on the shore of Long Island Sound watching the tide come and go. After a lengthy education, culminating in a Masters Degree in Fine Art at California Institute of the Arts, Andrea moved back to NY in 1998. She has been living, painting, photographing, working, and playing in Brooklyn since 2004.
